Our practice uses an anti-oppressive, anti-racist and cultural approach to supporting individuals. We recognize the impact of anti-Black racism on mental health, and pervasive experiences of race trauma. In addition, we understand how intergenerational and colonialization experiences can influence Black families and individuals' sense of self and identity.
Families may require support to manage a range of difficulties which may occur, such as family separation, grief or loss within the family, managing a family members' mental health or addiction, or blending two families together. Regardless of the reason, family therapy focuses on developing collective goals to help enhance the family's experiences.
